Hi!  My name is Tripp..but my foster mom calls me Budd since I’m such a good buddy!  I was found wandering along a busy highway.  Buckeye Bassett Hound Rescue took me in and I’ve been living with my foster mom and 3 foster doggy siblings for about a month now and we all get along really well!  (I haven’t met any cats but I’m sure I would like them.)  They estimate my age to be about 10 years old and I weigh about 30 lbs.  I have old eyes and a little arthritis but that doesn’t stop me from getting around.  I’m on joint supplements for my joints at the moment and it seems to be helping. I also had a lot of bad teeth when I was found, so they had to be taken out.  I’m on soft food only so it’s easy for me to eat.  And boy, do I have a nose for food! I’m the first in line when dinner is served! When we go outside my nose sure gets a workout, too.  I have to be kept on a leash in the backyard so I don’t follow my nose but I am fine in the enclosed dog yard.  I do not try to climb the 10x40’ split-rail with wire mesh fence.  However, my favorite place to be is inside and snuggling in my blankets by my foster mom.   There aren’t any small children where I’m at, but I probably shouldn’t be around  very  young children because they might be too active for me.  Although I have doggy siblings right now and it would be nice to continue to have another doggy around, I would be happy being the only dog, too!  I’m really sweet, wag my tail a lot and am just looking for a nice comfy place to call home.  My foster mom said she would keep me but she can’t have 4 dogs. So, if you want a nice little fella to hang out with and be your best buddy,  I’m your guy! Hope to meet you real soon!
