Sadie is a love bug, but can be temperamental. She does have some guarding issues with objects and does not like to be approached when she is sleeping.

She loves to run so a home with a fenced in yard would suit her best. If she sees a squirrel, she wants to go! She loves cats and currently lives with one. She loves all the neighbor dogs she meets, but has had some aggression issues towards dogs she has lived with in the past. It could have been she was anxious and was never given a chance to decompress and get used to another dog. She was aggressive towards our cat the first week and now they are good buddies.

She loves to go on walks, lay in the sun, sit on your lap and snuggle, sit on the front porch and watch the neighbors, eat her treats and play with toys. Cat toys are her favorite! She sleeps all night, either on the couch or her dog bed. She is potty trained, but doesn’t always let me know when she has to go. So still trying to learn her signals. She likes kids, but would be best in a home with older children.

Applicant/Co-Applicant must be 25 years or older.

Please note: This application is forwarded to several Buckeye Basset Hound Rescue volunteers who respond in a coordinated effort. Your personal information will never be shared. If you are contacted and we do not receive a response within two (2) weeks then your application will not be considered.
