Meet Baylor!

He's a 6 yr old tri-color male who was released by his family due to no fault of his own. Sadly Baylor's family was no longer able to give him the attention he deserved due to circumstances outside of their control and chose to release him to rescue.

 

Baylor LOVES people, especially MEN and tolerates other dogs.  He has never shown any issues with the dogs in his foster home, but tries to avoid them and doesn't interact. If they get to close he barks at them as if he's unsure or has never really been around them. He enjoys taking long walks and trots along with his nose to the sky and tail held high, definitely RARE for a basset. He is fully house broken and will go to the door when he wants out. 

 

Baylor would do best in a home environment where someone worked from home or was around frequently enough to spend time with him. He doesn't like to be crated, but has done well in a larger x-pen style enclosure. 

 

His previous family said he loved kids and was okay around cats, but hasn't been tested with either. Baylor is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and on a flea/heart worm preventative. 

 

Baylor is a sweet boy looking for his special someone (preferably a man) to adore! He was really bonded with a male in his previous home and tends to seek them out for affection. If you feel you would be a good match please fill out an application
